Welcome back from Dry January everyone! We hope you feel refreshed and ready to take on the next 11 months. February 2020 is a busy month for taproom events so you might want to have a little chat with your liver. We are releasing another sour for the winter, we have two new-to-us food pop-ups, a powerhouse pop-up collaboration and even a cribbage tournament! Plus a couple of food truck favorites, Bonetown Burgers and Butter “UR” Biscuit return a couple of times to share their love with us. See you at the taproom!
Thursday, January 30 – Beer Release: Gruit – 4pm
We are releasing a Gruit Ale today ahead of International Gruit Day on Saturday, February 1. The beer was developed by our brewer, Kevin, and is based on a Scottish Ale. He chose yarrow flower, sarsaparilla root and juniper berries for bittering and flavoring. More information can be found here.
Friday, January 31 – Bonetown Burgers – 5-9pm and Cask of Mild
Bonetown Burgers makes their triumphant return to the Gentile Taproom! These are some amazing people with some excellent food. Come have a burger and a couple of beers! Speaking of beers, we are tapping a cask of English Mild for 4pm, so you might want to be here for that.
Saturday, February 1 – Koto – 2-6pm and Mug Club Renewals Begin
Koto Grill & Sushi makes their debut at the taproom this Saturday afternoon. They are a family-owned restaurant in Salem specializing in fresh Asian cuisine. They are planning to make poke bowls for their first pop-up with us in Beverly. Also, if you are looking for more information on your Mug Club Renewal, it can be found here.
Friday, February 7 – Jaju/Po’Boys Collaboration – 5-9pm
We are not sure yet what these two are up to, but when you take two powerhouse food makers and put them under one roof, it’s going to be good. Pierogi stuffed with a Po’Boy filling? Pierogi stuffed in a Po’Boy? Maybe it is something we haven’t even heard of?! Whatever way this goes, you will want to be here on Friday.
Saturday, February 8 – Naco Taco 12-4pm and Looking Through the Magnifying Glass Art Opening 1-4pm
We are excited to announce a big, busy and really fun Saturday! Our friend, Brian S. Gordon, is debuting his new art show featuring all hand cut little collages and he asked his friends at Naco Taco to bring their food truck up to feed the masses. Bring the kids and bring your appetite. Magnifying glasses will be provided to all ages so you can lose yourself in the small works. See a preview here!
Thursday, February 13 – Beer Release: Beverly Common – 4pm
This is our second release of this common ale, a lager fermented at close to ale temperatures. The beer pours a light orange, has some fruity esters from the higher fermentation temperatures and was naturally carbonated in the tank. If you liked the Altbier, this one will be right up your alley!
Friday, February 14 – Kevin’s Funky Cask: sMAsh Stout w/ Toasted Coconut
We pulled a small cask’s worth of the sMAsh Stout and added some in-house toasted coconut for a little twist of flavor. If you are taking your sweetheart out to dinner come in before or after to have a pint. Or, better yet, bring your dinner and date here for a relaxing Valentine’s Day.
Saturday, February 15 – Butter “UR” Biscuit – 2-6pm
We love these ladies! They are hustling AND their food is so good and packed full of soul. Chicken and waffles? Yes, please. Chicken on a Biscuit? Yup. Rice and Beans? Don’t mind if I do.
Sunday, February 23 – Cribbage Tournament
Attention all you cribbage pros out there! We are hosting a tournament at the taproom. If you are interested, make sure you speak to Emily or one of the other wonderful bartenders to get on the list. Prizes are yet to be determined, but we need to give you something for being so awesome!
Thursday, February 27 – Beer Release: Winter Sour
You have asked and we have listened. It just takes us a while to execute. We made another sour ale but this time we flavored it with raspberry, blood orange and thyme. After the gruit, we were on an herb kick. This release will be draft only but with growler fills for a take-away option when you love it and need more of it in your life.
Friday, February 28 – Butter “UR” Biscuit – 5-9pm
Pre-Leap Year Celebration! And Butter “UR” Biscuit is here to throw down. If you missed them a couple weeks ago, get ye to the taproom! Also, Saturday, February 29 is the last day for Mug Club Members to renew for 2020.
