We started our Divergent releases, a never-ending series of American IPAs, back in December of 2016. While the majority of our beers are brewed in a traditional English-style, this series allows us to be creative with hop and malt combinations, delivering on what many of our customers are craving.

To date we’ve put out 13 versions of Divergent and are excited that the next release will be available in 16oz four-pack cans. This will be a limited run of cans with about 250 four-packs available for sale in the taproom only. The can label design is being created by Beverly’s own, ridiculously talented, Andy Bablo of Steez Design. Many of our customers have been asking for our beer in cans over the last two-plus years and we’re very excited to start to deliver on that request.

We thought it would be fun to take a trip back through Divergent memory lane so below you will find the entire release history of the series. And, while of course, we have our favorites, it has been fun to play with different combinations, concepts and processes. As we move to the next phase of this beer we will take what we have learned and apply it in an attempt to deliver a beer that continues to be different but also better than the last.

Release Date: 02.24.17
6.1% ABV – 50/50 Wheat and barley, single hopped with El Dorado.

Release Date: 04.05.18
5.8% ABV – About 20% Vienna malt and hopped with the now classic Citra and Mosaic combination.
