Please keep in mind that we are currently welcoming our guests back inside the taproom and have outdoor seating when the weather allows. Applicants must be comfortable serving guests inside. We enforce all state and local guidelines and make every effort to ensure the safety of our guests and staff.

AVAILABLE POSITION – Lead Beertender / Taproom Manager
Lead Beertender / Taproom Manager Overview
Gentile Brewing is looking for friendly, reliable, and energetic Lead Beertender / Taproom Manager to complete our team. Must be over 21 and able to manage a team in a fast‐paced environment. Craft beer knowledge is preferred. From the quality of the beer, the atmosphere of the tasting room and especially the service they receive, a guest’s impression of the brewery begins as soon as they walk through the door. Their experience must be excellent. We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude who is an excellent problem solver and communicator who has a love of craft beer.

The Lead Beertender / Taproom Manager manages and maintains all aspects of the brewery’s taproom, including promotion. The ideal candidate will have the skills, work habits, and genuine enthusiasm to create an environment in which guests have a positive experience.

Management Responsibilities

  • Server training and oversight
  • Supervise and evaluate performance of staff
  • Schedule food trucks and other vendors for events at the taproom
  • Maintain and develop relationships with food trucks and other vendors
  • Coordinate special and private events at the taproom
  • Ensure all events, private and public, go smoothly
  • Maintain a staffing schedule 
  • Ability to “manage the moment” 
  • Maintain open communication with staff and management

General administrative and financial control duties

  • Day to Day operations of tasting room such as serving beer, operating POS systems and managing inventory
  • Oversees all aspects of opening and closing duties 
  • Responsible for overall appearance/cleanliness of facilities
  • Learn, practice and teach beer terminology and the brewing process
  • Ordering and inventory management 
  • Knows and follows all state, local, and federal laws 
  • Provides feedback on the customer experience to brewery owners
  • Work on special projects as needed
  • Work with management on merchandising 

Beertending duties

  • Represent Gentile Brewing as a brand Ambassador 
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests. Greet and serve guests in a positive and friendly way.  
  • Ability to deal courteously and professionally with guests 
  • Interact with guests to develop and maintain a favorable public image. Answer questions and educate guests about Gentile Brewing, our beers and the differences between beer styles  
  • Maintain thorough understanding of all menu items, and be able to answer guest questions 
  • Ensure all guests have the best possible experience 
  • Accurately take guest orders for food and drink, checking back to ensure needs are met 
  • Bussing and resetting bar‐tops or tables as required 
  • Washing glassware by hand or in the high‐speed glasswasher 
  • Report any issues with Cask or draft system
  • Ensure the Tap Room, bar and bar area, counters, sinks, utensils, coolers, shelving and storage areas are clean and comply with established sanitation standards, hygiene, and health standards at all times 
  • All other day to day activities as necessary to keep the Taproom maintained

Experience & Requirements

  • Bar/Restaurant/Retail environment experience – management experience a plus
  • Bartending/Serving experience
  • Experience with draft equipment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Nights and weekend availability is required
  • Basic POS knowledge, computer and social media skills

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds

Beertender Overview
Gentile Brewing is looking for friendly, reliable, and energetic Beertenders to complete our team. Must be over 21 and able to work among a team of motivated servers in a fast‐paced environment. Craft beer knowledge is preferred for this position. From the quality of the beer, the atmosphere of the tasting room and especially the service they receive, a guest’s impression of the brewery begins as soon as they walk through the door. Their experience must be excellent. We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude who is an excellent communicator with a love of craft beer.

In addition to the day to day activities, Beertenders will be expected to learn about our beers, the production process and craft beer in general. They will be expected to guide guests to beers they would enjoy and explain the differences between staple and seasonal styles.

Typical Activities

  • All other day to day activities as necessary to keep the Taproom maintained 

Experience & Requirements

  • Bartending/Serving experience
  • Ability to learn draft equipment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Nights and weekend availability is required
  • Basic POS knowledge, computer and social media skills
  • Ability to multi‐task in a noisy and fast‐paced, distraction‐filled environment 
  • High school degree or GED equivalent 

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
