As the Summer of 2018 quickly approaches we are planning what more we, as Gentile Brewing Company, can give you, our customers. Some have asked if we will have Sunday hours, others have asked if we will be open during the Beverly Farmers’ Market. And still more want to know if we will be doing outdoor seating. We have a couple of different options in the works. Please read on to learn more!
Mondays – 4:00-9:00pm
The Beverly Farmers’ Market begins their 10th season on Monday, June 11 from 3:00-7:00pm. Part of the mission of Gentile is to be a community gathering space, but with beer. So, to celebrate this milestone market season, we are continuing our partnership with Beverly Farmers’ Market and our commitment to community and will be open on Mondays from 4:00-9:00pm. We started this last year and have decided to stay open an hour later this year to give the vendors and market customers an opportunity to have a beer post-market. The Farmers’ Market runs from June 11 through October 1, 2018. Once the market is over, we will suspend Monday hours until 2019.
Sundays – 12:00-5:00pm
We are going to begin being open on Sundays starting July 8 from 12:00-5:00pm. We know that summer days are precious and we also know that many people take weekend trips to enjoy the many outdoor options that New England has to offer. This limits the time you can spend inside with us drinking beer. So, by being open Sunday afternoons we are giving you another opportunity to visit.
Outdoor Drinking – At the Brewery
We go before the Beverly Licensing Authority on Thursday, June 14 to request permission to allow our pouring license to include the sidewalk in front of our building. If our application is approved, it is submitted to the ABCC (the state agency which oversees alcohol permitting within the Commonwealth). Once we get that permit, we will have limited outdoor seating enclosed by a brewery-made enclosure of walls made of pallets, which we are calling “wallets.” To make a long story longer, soon, but not yet.
Within the City of Beverly
Also at the June 14 meeting, we will have three separate applications up for approval for one-day pouring permits at a Historic Beverly property. If you want to be the first to know, come to the meeting next Thursday. It starts at 6:30pm. If you can wait, we will let you know as soon as it is official. But save the dates of Thursday, June 28, Saturday, July 14 and Sunday, July 15 if you are interested.
wooohooo for sunday hours!!!
