About Gentile Brewing Company

Gentile Brewing Company is a family-owned and operated nano craft brewery located north of Boston in Beverly, Massachusetts. Founded in 2015 by Beverly residents Paul and Christen Gentile, we are focused on providing our community with fresh craft beer made with quality ingredients. We believe good beer should be enjoyed and not fussed over. Our beer is made using traditional English-style brewing methods and ingredients. Our product line includes a set of four year-round beers and small batch releases that give us a chance to try out new ideas. Our low ABV year-round beers allow you to enjoy more than one without feeling like you were hit by a truck the next day.

Gentile Brewing Company can be easily found in downtown Beverly, steps from the Beverly Depot MBTA station. The building at 59 Park Street was built in 1884 and originally housed Creesy Shoe Factory, among many other manufacturers over its storied 130 plus year history. Our beers pay homage to those who worked and lived in the Beverly community all of those years ago. We hope you’ll come visit us soon!

Paul & Christen Gentile

Paul Gentile, Co-Owner, Brewer
Paul’s love affair with craft beer started over 10 years ago when his mother bought him a homebrew kit. His interest in brewing continued to grow, while he homebrewed often for family and friends. During the Summer of 2008 Paul decided to jump into the craft beer industry with both feet when he was hired by Mercury Brewing Company (Ipswich Ale) in Ipswich, MA. Starting on the bottling line, Paul quickly learned all aspects of brewery operations including, but not limited to, cleaning tanks, filling kegs, fixing fillers and eventually tackling logistics and finance. Under the direction of former Ipswich Ale head brewer Dan Lipke, Paul started professionally brewing in the fall of 2009. He was instrumental in helping brew the full line of Ipswich Ale beers, in addition to many of the contract beers brewed at Mercury Brewing, including Clown Shoes, Slumbrew and Notch Brewing.

After successfully making his first batch of craft beer in 2005, Paul knew that he eventually wanted to open a craft brewery in his community. Over the last two years Paul has worked toward making his dream a reality.

Christen Gentile, Co-Owner, Taste Tester Extraordinaire
Aside from a genuine love of craft beer, Christen has over a decade of experience in marketing, corporate communications and social media. While she has not quit her “day job” to taste test at the brewery, Christen has been an avid supporter of Paul and his beer making since she tasted the first stout he made in 2005.

Camille Gentile, Quality Control
Born in 2013, Camille is a native of Beverly, MA. While she will not be able to legally taste the beer until 2034, she can often be found helping with brewery projects and greeting visitors.

Gregory & Joseph Gentile, Guest Services
Born in September 2016, twins Gregory and Joseph are natives of Beverly, MA and can be found charming hearts in the taproom.

Lady Gentile, Security
Adopted from Puerto Rico via Northeast Animal Shelter, she is the best dog in the world. She even has her own song. Camille will sing it for you if you ask nicely. She spends her days chasing the sunshine around the house or guarding the yard from squirrels and birds. While at the brewery, she can be found chasing the sunshine and greeting visitors.
